Mr. Peter R. Ramsaroop, MBA, a civil society activist in Guyana, South America. Ramsaroop has been involved in the politics in Guyana since the late 90's. He is currently serving as the Chairman and CEO of Roopgroup based in Guyana, South America. The Group includes RoopGroup's AgriBusiness Ventures, CariAirways, and ETEGRA Inc, a Washington DC based Performance Consulting Company.

Ramsaroop has written a new book focused on Guyana The Road to ElDorado - The People's Revolution. This book offers a comprehensive vision and an implementation strategy to guide Guyana into a promising future. Ramsaroop examines the national impact of ineffective governance over several decades and puts forth a cohesive outline to rescue Guyana from lethargic politics and thrust it into the global stage of the 21st Century. The provocative thoughts presented in this book are clearly meant to provoke the people of Guyana to action and unification.

Ramsaroop's previous book focused on Guyana, Hope For Our Nation - Guyana Vision 2020, presents a vision that moves Guyana beyond the issues that polarise the nation. Ramsaroop believes that the time has come to take up the challenges and reclaim Guyana away from the political systems who have stagnated the country. The goal of his activism is to help Guyanese achieve a renewal of purpose— living in peace, harmony and prosperity.

In his column Political Intimidation, a Putrid Stench in our Democratic Nation, Ramsaroop writes "It is time to take back our nation by demanding a servant attitude from those we hire to run our country. This is not a revolution spurred by violence; we have seen more than enough bloodshed in our country. This is a reformation of the mind, a rebellion of the status quo that leaves us in poverty and a revolution of a righteous spirit."

Ramsaroop currently writes columns each week for Guyana's two main newspapers, Stabroek News and Kaieteur News. His articles can be found at Guyana - Open For Business and Guyana - Civil Society Speaks.
