Peter Ndlovu (born February 25, 1973 in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe) is a football striker.
He played for the English clubs Coventry City, Birmingham City, Huddersfield Town, and Sheffield United before signing for South African Premier Soccer League outfit Mamelodi Sundowns during the 2004 off-season.
Ndlovu was classed as one of the all time greats who played at Highfield Rd, with speed and skill who left defenders for dead. The fans of Coventry adored him and were very sorry to see him leave the club. Ndlovu was also hugely popular at Sheffield United and was known to the fans as 'Nuddy'. Although often frustrating, with him on the right wing and Michael Tonge on the left, Sheffield United managed to get to two semi finals of major cups and the final of the play-offs in the 2002-03 season in the first division. Again similar to coventry fans, Blades supporters were sad to see him go, his skill and wonderful ability to get the crowd on their feet would never be forgotten. Considered a Blades legend by many, former Blade Keith Edwards oddly wasn't such a fan.
Ndlovu is the all-time leading scorer for the Zimbabwean national team. He also led his nation to their first Africa Cup of Nations in 2004, held in Tunisia, and the second appearance held in Egypt in 2006.
Ndlovu's brothers, Adam and Madinda, were also international players. He played on the streets of Makokoba, Zimbabwe, where he grew up. He also played in both his primary and secondary schools and his hometown team Highlanders before joining Coventry in 1991.
