Peter Dinklage (born June 11, 1969) is an American actor.

His "break out" role is generally deemed to be The Station Agent. Although it was a small independent film, it was widely praised by critics and Dinklage's performance gained some note. He also had a small role in Jon Favreau's Elf as a pretentious children's author who beats up Will Ferrell's character after he is (unintentionally) insulted. In 2005, Dinklage starred in the short-lived CBS science fiction series Threshold.

Recently, he appeared in Sidney Lumet's latest courtroom drama, Find Me Guilty (2006), opposite Vin Diesel, and in episodes of Nip/Tuck. He also made a cameo appearance on HBO's show Entourage.

Dinklage was born in Morristown, New Jersey, USA. He is a 1987 graduate of Delbarton School and 1991 graduate of Bennington College, Bennington, Vermont. Dinklage's dwarfism is caused by Achondroplasia. He lives in Brooklyn, New York.
