Peter Crawford ('PC') was born in Mt Isa, Queensland, Australia, on the 6th November, 1979. At the age of 19 October, 1999), he made his NBL debut for the Townsville Crocodiles. Crawford lasted at the Crocodiles til the end of the 2003/2004 season. In his 5 seasons as a Croc bench player, PC played 133 games, averaging 8 points, 2 assists and 3 rebounds.

When the Perth Wildcats basketball team lost their star starting shooting guard, James Harvey, they were looking for someone to fill that spot. New coach Scott Fisher thought Crawford was just the person to do that. In Pete's first season as a Wildcat, he averaged 16 points, 4 assists and 6 rebounds over 32 games. This was said to be his best season. At the end of the 2004/2005 season, Perth signed PC on for another 2 years.

Now at the age of 27, PC is in the middle of the 2006/2007 season of the Phillips Championship playing a different role, back as a bench player. At first Crawford wasn't too happy or comfortable with his new postition, but after his best game of the season against the Sydney Kings, he seemed to have become okay with his role in the team.
