Peter Bucktrout

Pete Bucktrout is currently a photographer, digital imaging specialist and film cameraman with the British Antarctic Survey based in Cambridge, England. Having previousley worked for the Ministry of Defence and the UK Atomic Enery Authority.

Bucktrout was the cameraman in 1997, Sir Peter Maxwell Davies's Antarctic Symphony.

Bucktrout is the photographer whose inspiring Antarctic images form the visual content of the book 'notes from a cold climate' ISBN 0-9533730-3-7

Pete Bucktrout provided many of the images and video for Antarctic Waves *[1] a BAFTA award-winning music 'toolkit' for Key Stage 3, GCSE and A-level students (and equivalent UK qualifications) which uses real science, stunning images and extraordinary sounds from the Antarctic to inspire musical composition. Antarctic Waves is now on release across the UK and was developed by British Antarctic Survey, and creative multimedia company Braunarts.
