Peter Brackley

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Peter Brackley is a football commentator, perhaps most famous for covering Football Italia on Channel 4 in the 1990s. He began his career at BBC Radio; subsequently, in the 1982-83 season, he worked for Central Television. He is a supporter of Brighton and Hove Albion. He also provides the often condemned commentary for the Pro Evolution Soccer series of games, for which he has attained cult status. In the game, Trevor Brooking chips in with the occasional comment.

More recently he has been heard covering some of the World Cup games for ITV including Argentina v Mexico during June 2006. Unfortunately, despite his obvious knowledge in the game he was fourth choice in the pecking order for ITV. Brackley also commentated on the FA Community Shield match between Liverpool and Chelsea in August 2006.
