Peter Arnison

Major General Peter Maurice Arnison AC CVO KStJ (born 1940 in Lismore, New South Wales), was Governor of Queensland from July 1997 until July 2003.

He graduated from the Royal Military College, Duntroon in 1962, and retired from the Australian Army in 1996. He was Land Commander of the Royal Australian Army from 1994 until June 1996.

Following his governorship, he was the Executive Director of Allied Rubber Products, a manufacturing firm, for a year.

He is currently the Chancellor of Queensland University of Technology, Chairman of the Centre for Military and Veteran's Health, Director of Energex Limited, Director of VELOCITY BRISBANE, Governor of the Queensland Community Foundation, and Director of the Australian Multicultural Foundation.
