Peter Apfelbaum

Peter Apfelbaum (born 1960) is a jazz musician and composer. He plays a variety of instruments with tenor saxophone and piano being, possibly, the most noted. He toured Europe with Warren Smith and Karl Berger. He is perhaps most associated with the "Hieroglyphics Ensemble", which he leads. He is also noted for a mix of world music with jazz.[1] In 1991 his Signs of Life album went to 14 on Billboard (magazine)'s "top contemporary jazz albums.[2]
