Peter "Lumberjack" Aerts (born December 25, 1970) is a Dutch kickboxer and a three time K-1 World Grand Prix Champion. He used to train at the famous Mejiro Gym in Amsterdam under trainer Andre Mannaart. Now he has organized a team of his own TeamAerts. Peter Aerts is probably best known for his powerful strikes and high kicks. His style is utilizing body weight to KO the opponent, as opposed to relying on speed and reflexes.
Aerts competed in the 2006 K-1 World Grand Prix as an alternate, defeating opponent Musashi by first-round knockout. After Remy Bonjasky was forced to withdraw from the tournament due to injury, Aerts met Semmy Schilt in the tournament finals; Aerts lost by decision.
