[edit] Career
Gill formed part of the original line up Saxon in 1976. He enjoyed success with them until 1981 when he injured his hand.
Gill later spent three years with Motörhead, 1984 to 1986, recording four new tracks for the compilation No Remorse and one full album, Orgasmatron (album). The band toured extensively in the time Gill was a member and had it not been for contractual wrangles with former record label Bronze his recorded output with the band would surely have been greater.
Gill later worked as a music business consultant and special events manager with the British Heart Foundation[citation needed]. He is currently employed by The Child Group[citation needed].
