Pestovo

Pestovo (Russian: Пестово) is a town in the eastern part of Novgorod Oblast, Russia, situated on the Mologa River, in the Valdai Hills. The village of Pestovo was first documentally mentioned in 1495. Its economic growth started in 1918, as a railway passing through it was built. In 1965 the status of town was granted.
