[edit] Plot

Smallville High jock Sean Kelvin falls into icy, kryptonite-laced Crater Lake. This makes him perpetually cold and the only thing that allows him to function is stealing warmth from other people, killing them in the process.

Sean attempts to woo Chloe in order to steal her warmth but is rebuffed. He then goes through his black book, killing each girl who agrees to hang out with him.

Meanwhile, Lex has tried to help Clark romatically with Lana. He provides them with concert tickets and a limo but Clark is diverted by Sean's actions. Sean steals Clark's warmth but Clark recovers due to his superhuman constitution.

Sean then attacks Lana and the Kents at Lex's mansion but Clark saves them by throwing him into a lake. Sean freezes the lake and is entombed in it. Lana then decides that she want's to be "just friends" with Clark.

Clark: Sounds like a date.
Chloe: It's not a date. It's a fact-finding mission to see if he deserves a date.[1]
