I've revised the template to be shorter and less lectury. The previous version was a bit long-winded about why this is a speedy deletion reason; now, it's hidden behind a link they can look at if they want to, and it's more clear about what to do to fix the problem. What do you think about adding, at the bottom, Administrators: please, as a courtesy, do not delete this page in the first 15 minutes after its creation, to allow the uploader time to read the tag and attempt to correct the license. Mangojuice^talk 16:29, 24 July 2006 (UTC)

I would be very hesitant. If the uploader has the chance to lie about the license, it could easily be abused. On the other hand, posting a message on the subject here and on WP:AN would not be too bad. Stifle (talk) 21:57, 24 July 2006 (UTC)
