[edit] Just one PRT design?
This article sounds a lot like a proposal for a PRT system. Should it be moved to be a sub-article (ie Personal_rapid_transit/UniModal) to indicate that it's basically PRT with some specific details explained?
[edit] proposed deletion
This needs to be discussed. - I disagree with the deletion. Fresheneesz 03:19, 13 April 2006 (UTC)
- Look -> here for the discussion of deletion. Fresheneesz 00:50, 17 April 2006 (UTC)

- The vote unanimously acted to not delete this page, therefore I have removed the tag. Fresheneesz 07:16, 19 April 2006 (UTC)
No. The debate closed 2d/2m/1k. That can be interpreted as consensus merge in this case. The anonymous and unhistoried inputs in the "vote here" section are discounted, as usual in AfD, partly because AfD is not a vote, partly because they were clearly the results of external solicitation to vote, and partly because at least one of them was voting to change the article into personal rapid transit, in evident ignorance of the fact that this article already exists. Just zis Guy you know? 08:44, 19 April 2006 (UTC)

- I can't accept that. You're discounting votes. Anons still count. Even if you do discount votes, its still unanimous, why didn't you vote? Or Avidor. This is not a merge - if you want a merge, have a vote on it. You proposed deletion, it failed, end of story. Please put up a merge tag and discuss it if you want a merge.
- "in evident ignorance of the fact that this article already exists"
- It looked to me like he was completely aware of the PRT article, and was proposing that the info be merged there. Fresheneesz 08:44, 20 April 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Issues

- first two are taken from here
I strongly suggest a more clear Wikipedia strategy on how to handle company and product information. Basically I think Wikipedia should contain a lof of information about the ideas behind systems and products, not the products themselves. For example a "car" or "automobile" is much more relevant than a "Ford", "Volvo" or "Toyota". The "car" section should the have links to known homepages of car makers over the world. Similary, I suggest that the emphasis should be put on "PRT", "Podcars" etc. in this case, and that the "Unimodal" information should be shorter and maybe connected to the inventor instead (Douglas Malewicki). However, I stronly disagree with deleting the entire entry, as all products, regardless of status, is a result of human effort and therefore is of interest now and later for various reasons - even if the product never sees the ligh of the day. Christer Lindström, IST (www.podcar.org) Sweden
As Christer mentioned above, it may be worthwhile to refactor the Personal Rapid Transit group of pages. --EricTalevich 05:33, 19 April 2006 (UTC)
[edit] DISCUSS MERGE OR DELETE
This is an issue that is not closed. Some people (namely only two I know) want this page deleted or "merged". I for one disagree, but this needs to be discussed. Please discuss it here. Fresheneesz 02:06, 21 April 2006 (UTC)
- I also would appreciate discussion on this issue, as it seems that JzG has taken it upon himself to make the decision unilaterally. I'll continue to revert JzG's deletion until he gives us the courtesy of discussing it with us first. A Transportation Enthusiast 21:29, 21 April 2006 (UTC)

- Too late for that, but watch out for the 3 revert rule if you try that in the future. Fresheneesz 09:38, 23 April 2006 (UTC)
