Anyone know what Hobart's rank was when he was given command of the 79th? DJ Clayworth 14:29, 5 May 2005 (UTC)

He was a Major-General from '37 and never promoted above that rank, though not due to a lack of talent IMO. Leithp 17:42, 5 May 2005 (UTC)

Two dates for Hobart's knighthood in the article. Any idea which is right? DJ Clayworth 20:23, 15 Jun 2005 (UTC)

Can anyone help with info into Hobart's early life and his lineage? ( D.Hobart) 20:30, 18 Nov 2005.

The DD Tanks.

The Duplex Drive tanks were American in design which may explain why the US used them and spurned the british tanks.
