Perry Botkin, Jr.

Perry Botkin, Jr. (born 1933 in New York, New York) is an American composer, producer, arranger, and musician. He began writing songs for films with the 1947 Gene Autry movie Saddle Pals, and had a successful career in music for over forty years. As an arranger, he worked with Bobby Darin, Harry Nilsson, The Lettermen, Ed Ames, and Harpers Bizarre, among others.

In 1990, Botkin retired from the commercial music industry, and began self-producing CD's of electronic music. James Herbert, in the liner notes for the first of these recordings, says, "With these new musical works, Perry Botkin has achieved his musical goal. He has succeeded in being himself."
