[edit] The Autodromo di Pergusa (auto racing track)

Pergusa is an important tourist town (many hotels, pubs, restaurants and so on) mainly because it is home to the most important auto racing trak in Southern Italy, the Autodromo di Pergusa, which housed many important competitions (Formula 1 in 1962, Formula 3000 which has been ran here many times, the Ferrari Festival with Michael Schumacher and other champions in 1997, and a lot of other competitions by FIA or national, regional organizations).

[edit] The Pergusa Lake

Pergusa is almost attached to the only Sicilian natural lake, the Pergusa Lake, which represents a fundamental point in the migration of bird (you may see Enna), and it is surrounded by hills and a wood, called Selva Pergusina.

[edit] Geography and Transport

Pergusa is reached by the Enna-Gela Road, which allow to reach Enna (about 5 km of way) and, from there, to entry the motorway Palermo-Catania.
