Perforated hardboard
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Perforated hardboard is hardboard pre-drilled with evenly spaced holes.
It can be mounted on spacers a little in front of a wall and the holes used to accept metal pegs to support various items, such as light tools in a small hobby den or items for sale in a shop.
Pegboard is a brand name of this material, and is often used as a generic term for it.
[edit] Dimensions
Type | Spacing | Thickness | Hole dia. |

A | 3/4" | 1/8" | ? |
B | 1" | 1/4" | ? |
Pegboard is also available in metal metric versions which use either 25 mm or 20 mm hole spacing.
Items can be made to hook into any grid, but placing hooks at 3 inches apart allows them to hook into both the 1 inch and 3/4 inch versions.
