[edit] Cell's New Transformation
After consuming Jinzō'ningen 17, Cell's strength has increased beyond what anyone can handle presently. His appearance also changes a bit as well. With his new power, he wastes no time in trying to absorb #18 as well, but is constantly stopped by distractions. He puts a stop to it by blowing half the head of #16 with a single ki blast, and trying to deceive #18 by using the voice of #17. #18 does not fall for it though, and threatens suicide by destroying herself with a ki blast to the heart. Cell is amused though, and claims that he is quick enough to intercept her either way. Finally, Tenshinhan decides to step in and using his new technique, the Shin-Kikōhō, he is able to hold Cell in check to stall in time for #16 and #18 to escape. Eventually though, he becomes too exhausted to continue and collapses, with Cell and his own tiredness about to kill him. An enraged Goku finally steps in as well, and uses Shunkan Idou to warp to where Cell is. Cell is surprised to see Goku, and demands a fight from him. Goku, knowing that he is no match for Cell, pleads a day to become a match for him. Cell does not believe him, but Goku simply picks up Tenshinhan and Piccolo, who was barely alive. Cell decides to rush at Goku, but he uses Shunkan Idou to go back to Kami's Palace, surprising him. Cell shrugs it off and goes back to finding #18 and the damaged #16. Meanwhile, Kuririn meets Bulma, who manages to build a emergency stop device for the Jinzō'ningen with the design specs from #17 they picked up earlier. She also makes Sayian Armor that Vegeta requested for the Z-Fighters, but Kuririn suggests for her to go to Kami's Palace to deliver it herself due to the urgency.
[edit] Vegeta and Trunks Emerge
As Tenshinhan and Piccolo are both revived by the Senzu, Vegeta and Trunks emerge from the Room of Spirit and Time, greatly powered up. Goku, Tenshinhan, and Piccolo warn Vegeta about Cell's power but he ignores them, claiming that Goku and Gohan will have no need to go in the Room of Spirit of Time. Just then, Bulma comes with the new Sayian Armor but is surprised to see Trunks with long hair (due to his one-year training). Vegeta reveals that pure-blood Sayian hair stop growing at a certain point and remains the same forever. However, he ends the chit-chat and quickly leaves to search for Cell. Trunks too, leaves but receives two Senzu from Goku, one for each of them. Then Goku and Gohan both enter the Room of Spirit and Time together to try and train Gohan to become a Super Sayian. Meanwhile, Cell is desperately searching for #18 and begins to blow up islands where she might be hiding. #18 panics, but #16 reassures her that Cell cannot detect their presence due to their not having ki. Cell blows up all the islands but the one #18 is on and begins to blow it up when Vegeta arrives, followed shortly followed by Trunks.
[edit] Super Vegeta
Cell is surprised at Vegeta's prescence but does not see him as much of a threat. However, he is proven wrong when Vegeta transforms into an Ascended Super Sayian and begins to pound Cell badly, with Cell having no chance to fight back. Kuririn also arrives and finds #18 and #16 in the island, but hesistates on whether to destroy them or not, because of his secret crush on #18. Finally he drops the emergency controller to the floor, attracting their attention. Meanwhile, Cell is desperate to become his perfect form and makes pleas to Vegeta (now calling himself Super Vegeta) to be allowed to become perfect and be more of a challenge. Unfortunately to everyone, this appeals to Vegeta's ego, and he allows this. Trunks is angry at this and begins to stop Cell himself, but Vegeta attacks him and they have a brief fight with Trunks blasting Vegeta far away with a large ki wave. Kuririn, on the island destroys the emergency controller himself, and urges #18 and the others to run away. #18 is asks why Kuririn destroyed it when he had the perfect chance but when as tries to answer, Cell notices their prescence on the island.
[edit] Perfect Cell vs. Super Vegeta
As Cell desperately rushes to absorb #18, he is followed by Trunks. However, Cell uses the Tayioken to blind everyone. He then absorbs #18 and undergoes another transformation, this time would make him truly perfect. He even puts up a barrier to prevent any interference from Trunks. Vegeta who came back in time, states that Cell still did not gain as enough power to beat him. Cell, who has once again changed in appearance, begins to lightly warm up, not paying any attention to the others. Kuririn, seeing #18 gone, becomed enraged and attacks Cell, but is almost killed with one punch from Cell. Trunks rushes and feeds him a Senzu, and Kuririn tells him that Cell was hiding his power, only revealing it in short spurts of force. He also reveals that he knows about Trunks' ability to ascend to a higher level of Super Sayian than his father, which surprises Trunks. Trunks tells Kuririn that he was deliberately holding back his power for his father's pride, and he would fight once Vegeta was knocked out. With this, Vegeta begins to engage in combat with Cell but starts to panic as Cell dodged everything that he threw at him and even came unscathed by Vegeta's kick to his neck. In a rage, Vegeta began to power up his Final Flash attack, and goaded Cell to take it full force. Vegeta then launched it directly at Cell, and was pleased when it destroyed most of Cell's left upper body. Vegeta began to gloat when Cell despaired about his injury, however Cell quickly regenerated his whole body back, taunting Vegeta that he was only kidding. He then quickly finished Vegeta, rendering him unconscious.
[edit] Trunks Ascends
Trunks took this chance to power up greatly and become an Ascended Super Saiyan Grade 3, which was two steps beyond the regular Super Saiyan and one step above his father. Kuririn then took Vegeta and revived him with a Senzu. Cell was pleased at Trunks' power, thinking that he finally had a worthy opponent, but quickly realized that Trunks' new form had a critical weakness. Eventually Trunks began to wonder why he could not hit Cell at all. Cell told him that his form required big bulky muscles that severely lowered his speed while raising his power substantially. He even surprised Trunks by powering to a similar form himself, telling him that it was quite easy to do. Trunks realized that this weakness was probably why his father did not ascend and quickly powered down, telling Cell to go ahead and kill him for his failure.
[edit] Cell's Announcement
Instead, Cell asked Trunks about how he and Vegeta was able to become so powerful so quickly and what Son Goku was doing. Trunks did not answer to the first question but told Cell that Son Goku was training and would definitely defeat Cell. Cell then decided to hold a martial arts tournament called "The Cell Games". Seeing that Trunks came from a time whre such a thing did not exist he briefly told Trunks the rules of the tournament and that it would start in 10 days. Trunks quickly went and told his friends, while Kuririn took the damaged #16 to Capsule Corporation for repairs to help against Cell. Afterwards, Cell interupted a news broadcast and announced to the entire world about the Cell Games. He then mentally constructed a ring and waited patiently until the time was over. During this time, Goku and Gohan, now Full-Powered Super Sayians, emerged from the Room of Spirit and Time. Goku took advantage of the situation, travelling to Namek to find a new Namekian to assume the role of "Kami-Sama", who was Dende. Dende made it so that the Dragonballs would be revived and that the Shenlong would be able to grant any two potent wishes instead of one. The others took the nine days to go back to train in the Room of Spirit and Time. Goku and Gohan however, did not seem to take the situation so seriously, spending more of the time left resting than actually training.
