- Bob Perelman, a poet.
- Chaim Perelman, a philosopher.
- Eliezer Yitzhak Perelman (1858-1922), was responsible for the revival of Hebrew as a spoken language. He renamed to Eliezer Ben-Yehuda.
- Grigori Perelman, a Russian mathematician who proved the Poincaré conjecture.
- Ronald Perelman, a wealthy investor and businessman who appears 94th on the Forbes 2006 The World's Richest People (34th in the USA).
- Sidney Joseph Perelman, a.k.a. S.J. Perelman, was a United States humorist, author, and screenwriter, best known for Around the World in Eighty Days.
- Yakov Perelman, a Russian author, who is credited with writing science books for children.
