[edit] About PMPS

The name of the company originated from one of Wong’s best selling albums released in 1997 under the same name. PMPS was born rather artistically oriented, despite majority of the giant music production companies in Hong Kong are heavily commercial-oriented. All founding members of PMPS have extensive experience in the creative or music industry prior founding the company, including producers, singers, songwriters, sound engineers, musicians, etc.

Although being an independent production company, PMPS does from time to time handle the production of albums for top-of-the-line singers such as Leslie Cheung, Faye Wong, Eason Chan, Andy Hui and Miriam Yeung. Their services mainly focus on song-writing, lyric-writing, musical arrangement, producing, sound engineering etc. Furthermore, PMPS also participates in movie scoring, theatre anddance music production.

Since 2002, PMPS started to sign in singers under their own label. Their first singers signed was at17, a Folktronica music group formed by 2 very talented young girls. The group soon received positive response form the public audiences and critics. Their success led the company to establishment of another group PixelToy.
