The People's Party (Fólkaflokkurin) is a conservative political party in the Faroe Islands, led by Anfinn Kallsberg. The party is affiliated to the International Democratic Union. At the last legislative elections on the 20th of January, 2004, the party won 20.6% of the popular vote and six out of 32 seats. The party traditionally supported greater autonomy for the Faroe Islands but in 1994 adopted a policy of full independence as part of a coalition deal with the Tjóðveldisflokkurin and Sjálvstýrisflokkurin.
