I removed the statement that Edinburgh Crystal was closed, because this doesn't appear to be the case (eg. [1], [2]) ? Please re-add if I'm mistaken. Mrabbits 11:41, 9 August 2006 (UTC)

You are right, Edinburgh Crystal is still in Penicuik. Most of their production was moved overseas, with the visitor centre, offices, and a little bit of custom manufacturing left in Penicuik. Perhaps this is what was meant by the editor who added it was closed Lurker ^talk 12:44, 9 August 2006 (UTC)

Thanks - I don't suppose you happen to know what the situation is with the paper mills as well? The intro says the last one closed in 1975, but at the bottom of the article it says "the last paper mill has closed 2004". Mrabbits 20:57, 9 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Dog Tired

I recently had my article removed about Dog Tired (a local band). I am a resident of Penicuik, a member of the community and a member and promoter of Dog Tired. We are one of the two main metal bands in Penicuik and have a fairly large following. I didn't mean to cause offence with anything. I just wish to show part of the youth culture in Penicuik and Edinburgh. If you guys would let my band have a small part of the page we would be very gratefull.
