I decided to expand this page as Kicks from the penalty mark relates only to soccer/football. I know it can be used in field hockey, though not sure of any other sports.

I don't really see the point of this new page. It seems to only duplicate existing information. The majority (in fact all it seems) of links to "penalty shootout" refer to football/soccer, and they may as well go straight to the source of correct information provided at kicks from the penalty mark. If we are concerned that the term penalty shootout is applied to hockey, then a disambiguation page would be better. --Daveb 01:47, 6 Apr 2005 (UTC)

I though it could be used to describe the concept of a penalty shootout in general, similar to the page for sudden death, also it is used in ice hockey. 3mta3 03:43, 6 Apr 2005 (UTC)

Fair enought, however the information looks a little too specific for a general concept / disambig page. Cheers, --Daveb 08:39, 10 May 2005 (UTC)
