The Pentameters Theatre was founded in 1968, and is still run, by artistic director Leonie Scott-Matthews. It is a 60-seat venue and is one of the best-known fringe theatres in London with a reputation for producing revivals, poetry, music events and cutting-edge new plays in particular. It is located above the Three Horseshoes pub in Hampstead.
