Penrith Christian Life Centre

Penrith Christian Life Centre is an Assemblies of God Pentecostal church in the Sydney suburb of Orchard Hills. It had 1750 members as of 2001. The senior pastor is Jack Hanes. The church is a cell church based on the G12 model.

The church is renowned for its focus on missions work. Over five million dollars has been raised for this cause, despite the church’s location in a working class area of Sydney. By the end of 2003, the church had planted about 560 new churches in five different countries.

Locally, the church runs charitable services through its Westcare arm. Services provided include telephone counselling, face-to-face counselling, drug rehabilitation, divorce recovery programs and food handouts.

Penrith CLC runs Penrith Christian Community School, a combined primary and secondary school with 736 students.

Jack Hanes is also president of the Australian Assemblies of God World Missions department. He has spoken on the subject of world missions at churches and conferences throughout the world, including the First Priority conference run by Penrith CLC. He has also written a book on the subject.
