Pending LRT Station

Pending LRT station (BP8) (pronounced as pern ding) is a LRT station on the Bukit Panjang LRT Line in Singapore. It was opened in November 1999. It is operated by SMRT.

The station is located along Pending Road. Pending refers to a large waist buckle in Malay. The word is not to be confused with the English word "pending", which means "while awaiting, until".

[edit] Vicinity

Pending station serves the residents of HDB flats (Apartments) located in the southern part of Bukit Panjang Town. The station is convienently situated right next to Bukit Panjang Community Centre as well as the Bukit Panjang South Neighborhood Police Post; where the former caters to the recreational and well-being needs of residents living near-by, and the latter for the safety of the residents.
