User talk:Pele Merengue
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Welcome!
Hi, and I welcome you to Wikipedia. Thank you for your contributions.
Currently, you are editing anonymously. You can continue to do so. You are not required to log in to Wikipedia to read and/or write articles, but I recommend doing so. It will result in a username being shown instead of your IP address (yours is Pele Merengue). There are benefits when logging in to Wikipedia.
Note these points, with or without logging in :
- Please respect others' copyrights; do not copy and paste the contents from webpages directly, including partials.
- Please use a neutral point of view to edit the article; this is possibly the most important Wikipedia policy.
- If you want to test, please use the Sandbox to do that.
- Do not add nonsense into any articles, such as: copyrighted texts, advertisement messages, and texts that are not related to that article. Both adding such unreasonable information and editing articles maliciously are considered vandalism. A user who repeatedly vandalises articles will be blocked from editing.
The Wikipedia Tutorial is a good place to start learning about Wikipedia before you start to edit. If you have any questions, ask me on my talk page – I will try to answer your questions. Thank you again for contributing to Wikipedia.

[edit] Welcome!
Additional tips:
- Here are some extra tips to help you get around Wikipedia:
- If you made any edits before you got an account, you might be interested in assigning those to your username.
- If you want to play around with your new Wiki skills, try the Sandbox.
- Click on the Edit button on a page, and look at how other editors did what they did.
- You can sign your name using three tildes, like this: ~~~. If you use four, you can add a datestamp too. Always sign comments on Talk pages, never sign Articles.
- You might want to add yourself to the New User Log.
- If your first language isn't English, try Wikipedia:Contributing to articles outside your native language.

[edit] Image Tags
Hi Pele Merengue, I noticed that you have uploaded many album covers, which is great. I have added the {{albumcover}} copyright tag to several of your earlier photos, but I think some images still need to be tagged. You can find a list of image pages you have edited by going to "Your contributions" from your user page and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Other image tags can be found at Wikipedia:Image_copyright_tags. - AKeen 20:28, 22 January 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:Estradasphere_with_new_lineup.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Estradasphere_with_new_lineup.jpg. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).
The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images on Wikipedia is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}
.
Please signify the copyright information on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator. You can get help on image copyright tagging from Wikipedia talk:Image copyright tags.

[edit] Image tagging for Image:DCSupermanBatman.PNG
Thanks for uploading Image:DCSupermanBatman.PNG. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the source and creator of the image on the image's description page, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided source information for them as well.

[edit] Three Kings
Hi, I just noticed your recent edits to Three Kings and wanted to say thanks. You added a lot of quality, sourced information, the highest calling of a Wikipedian, and I commend you on it. I have been working on this article for a while, using mostly online sources, so citations from a book are definitely appreciated. Thanks again for your help. —Nate Scheffey 04:07, 10 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Image:The concretes promo2.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:The concretes promo2.jpg. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:
- Go to the image description page and edit it to add {{Replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template.
- On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.
Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject or by taking a picture of it yourself.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that any fair use images which are replaceable by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. --Chowbok ☠ 17:21, 13 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Freaks and Geeks Episode Pages
I know you worked very hard on the Freaks and Geeks episode pages--the formatting is really well done shows this. I just think that since the series is virtually a blip on the screen of prime time programming, that it shouldn't have a whole series. Maybe one page instead, giving the progression of the series. I don't mean to totally shut you down, as I loved the series and have it on DVD, but it just seems like it is a lot of stuff for something that only a few people will visit. Seinfeld, M*A*S*H, Cheers, All in the Family, Andy Griffith Show--these series should have entire cataloguing. Let's talk, if you aren't too angry with me. CPRdave 00:22, 22 November 2006 (UTC)
I felt uncomfortable with a Prod for this series. These pages are at least reasonably well-written, and would make a fair choice for merging, so I removed the Prod. Mister.Manticore 16:09, 25 November 2006 (UTC)
