Pelle Nilsson
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Per «Pelle» Nilsson (born September 15, 1982 in Härnösand, Sweden), is a Swedish footballer. He plays in central defence, and his current club is Odd Grenland of the Norwegian tippeligaen, which he joined prior to the 2005 season for approximately 3 million Norwegian kroner, becoming the clubs record purchase. He enjoyed a very good 2006 season, and ended up having the highest average rating of any tippeligaen player in newspaper Verdens Gangs season ranking.
In August 2006, Odd Grenland rejected a £1 million offer from English Coca Cola Championship side Sunderland AFC, but he is widely expected to leave for a bigger club after the Norwegian season comes to an end in November.
