Pegognaga is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Mantua in the Italian region Lombardy, located about 140 km southeast of Milan and about 20 km south of Mantua. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 6,862 and an area of 46.7 km2.[1]
The municipality of Pegognaga contains the frazioni (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) Galvagnina, Polesine, and Sacca.
Pegognaga borders the following municipalities: Gonzaga, Moglia, Motteggiana, San Benedetto Po, Suzzara.
