Pedras Salgadas (pron. IPA: ['pɛdɾɐʃ saɫ'gadɐʃ]) is a small town in the district of Vila Real,in northcentral Portugal, located approximately 37 km north of the district capital of Vila Real. It is famous for its mineral waters, especially the nationally known Pedras Salgadas water, distributed by the Unicer beverage group. There are several small hotels in the area.
The town is located in the municipality of Vila Pouca de Aguiar. Both are located on N2, the national highway linking Chaves with Vila Real. The four-lane IP3 highway will pass a few kilometers west of the town. The railway was closed in the nineteen eighties and there are plans to use the abandoned railway bed for a cycling and walking path.
