Pearl City Express

The Pearl City Express is a passenger train route of Southern Railway (India), a zone of Indian Railways. It is a daily train that runs between Chennai Egmore and Thoothukudi. Pearl City is another name of Thoothukudi. The train covers the distance of about 600 kilometres in less than 12 hours and stops at Maniyachi, Kadambur, Kovilpatti, Madurai and Chennai.

It runs packed on all days and is a true symbol and example of an superfast train in India.
