Silky Sifaka (Propithecus diadema candidus)
Original caption: Propithecus diadema, var sericeus (A. Milne Edwards et A. Grandidier), découvert par M. Guinet aux environs de Sambava (côte N.E. de Madagascar), au quart de la grandeur naturelle. Les taches blanches qui sont marquées sur le museau varient en nombre et en grandeur suivant les individus.
English Translation (partial): Propithecus diadema, sericeus variety (A. Milne Edwards and A. Grandidier), discovered by Mr. Guinet around Sambava (NE coast of Madagascar)... The white spots which are marked on the muzzle vary in a number and size according to the individual.
