Commentary:
Pays d'Enhaut, is a beautiful area of Switzerland located between Lausanne and Interlaken. French speaking, it borders the Swiss German, Saanenland and famous resort of Gstaad.
The region is effectively T-shaped and comprises a main valley region and a secondary valley region.
The main valley runs from the village of La Tine in the direction of Gruyere and Bulle and to Rougemont in the direction of Saanen and Gstaad.
The secondary valley runs South from Chateau d'Oex up to the villages of Etivaz, and La Lecherette in the direction of Les Mosses (Col Des Mosses) and Aigle and canton Valais.
It benefits from idylic summers with beautiful hikes and walks possible and exhilarating winters with Skiing possible in several locations (mainly Rougemont and Chateau d'Oex). The Rougemont ski location also has the advantage that it is linked by its piste runs into the Gstaad network of ski runs.
