[edit] About me
I'm Paul Leake, and
- I was born and grew up just outside York on March 25, 1980.
- I live in Bowburn, just outside Durham, United Kingdom.
- I am an Independent member of Durham City Council for Pelaw and Gilesgate
- I'm a graduate of the University of Durham - I was at St. John's College. When I was a student I was Clerk of the Union, Campaigns Officer and later Treasurer of Durham Students' Union. I've also been a member of the National Council and the Rules Revision Committee of the National Union of Students.
- I am a member of the College Council of St Aidan's College, Durham.
- I used to be a non-executive Director of the County Durham and Darlington Priority Services NHS Trust.
- I'm a member of the Methodist Church of Great Britain, Christian CND, War on Want, Conscience - the Peace Tax Campaign, Amnesty International, the Bat Conservation Trust, Unison, Electoral Reform Society, Liberty, and the mental health charities MIND, Rethink and the Manic Depression Fellowship.
- I'm not Notable, but a great, great uncle was.
- My first Wikipedia edit was on EARS (software) on November 4, 2005.
- Since then I have made almost 1000 edits on just over 600 articles.
[edit] I believe in NPOV
Just because I've edited your partisan changes doesn't necessarily mean I don't agree with what you say, but that Wikipedia articles are meant to have the tone and neutrality (and references) of any bought encyclopaedia.
Favourite flame:
- "I am a communist agitator and like to spuriously edit posts on wikipedia to gloss over the offensive conduct of my compatriots. I worship Gerry Gable." (an anonymous edit to this page made after I deleted potentially libellous claims about Gerry Gable).

Mostly local history, local government, religion and politics, usually as they related to Durham and York/North Yorkshire.
