After the invasion of France by Germany he made Charles de Gaulle a member of the Cabinet.

Was de Gaulle actually in the cabinet? The list here doesn't imply so. De Gaulle's article says he was, but as under-secretary of state for national defence and war - would such a post be in the cabinet? Timrollpickering 21:57, 20 Sep 2004 (UTC)

Under normal circumstances not, only ministers are part of the cabinet. But as Reynaud himself was both PM and Minister of Defense de Gaulle had to take a far bigger responsibility than usual under-secretarys had and participated in the cabinet meetings. Kind of having the job, but not the insignia. --Nevfennas 18:33, 17 June 2006 (UTC)
