In 1860 census, given as Hesse-Kassel; in 1870 census, given as Hesse-Darmstadt. Could not locate in 1850 census for a tie breaker. Deceased prior to 1880. Possibly enumerator got information from husband one time and wife another? David 03:49, 5 May 2006 (UTC)
