Paulista is a city in Pernambuco, Brazil, population 294,000 (2005). It is near Olinda, Recife and Abreu e Lima. It is the birthplace of Rivaldo, the Brazilian soccer player, and also is famous for its beaches like Maria Farinha.

Paulista also designates a person who was born in the state of São Paulo, Brazil.
