Paul Smith (born 18 September 1971 in London) is an English professional footballer currently playing for AFC Sudbury. He formerly played for Southend United, Brentford, Gillingham and Swindon Town.

Smith angered many Gillingham fans when he left to join arch rivals Swindon Town.
