Paul Rudolf von Bilguer
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Paul Rudolf von Bilguer (the middle name is sometimes spelled also Rudolph, September 21, 1815–September 16, 1840) was a German chess master and chess theoretician of the nineteenth century.
To the modern chess world he is known above all as the co-author of the Handbuch des Schachspiels. He died very young, before finishing the 'Handbuch', but fortunately the work has been taken over by his friend Tassilo von Heydebrand und der Lasa.
