Paul Rodriguez (born January 19, 1955 in Culiacan, Sinaloa, Mexico) is a Hispanic-American comedian. Raised in COMPTON East Los Angeles, California, USA, he later served in the military where he was stationed in Iceland and Duluth, Minnesota among other places. He considered becoming a lawyer, but instead went into comedy. Many of his comedy specials involved serious issues for the Latino community and he is presently known for charity work. His son, Paul Rodriguez, Jr., is a professional skateboarder.

He is number 74 on Comedy Central's list of the 100 greatest standups of all time.

Rodríguez is the part owner of the Laugh Factory club of West Hollywood, and gained publicity after giving a press conference following comedian/actor Michael Richards' controversial on stage performance [1].
