From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Paul Quinn College is the oldest African-American liberal arts college in Texas. It was founded in 1872 in Austin, Texas, and was named after William Paul Quinn (1788-1873), the fourth bishop of the African Methodist Episcopal Church. The College is affiliated with the AME church.

After later moving to Waco, the campus is now located in Dallas, on the old Bishop College campus, about a half mile west of Interstate 45 and two miles north of Interstate 20.
