Paul Lawson (born May 15, 1984 in Aberdeen, Scotland) is a professional footballer currently playing for St Johnstone on-loan from Celtic.

Lawson is captain of the Celtic reserves side, and has a Scotland Under-21 cap. When playing for the national youth team in his preferred position of central midfield, he is often to be found on the substitutes' bench as his team's second resort. He does, however, usually play in defence for the Celtic first team.

Lawson also played at right-back for Celtic in pre-season of 2006/7 against teams such as Manchester United and on the first game of the season in the 4-1 defeat of Kilmarnock which put them top of the league.

Lawson joined Scottish First Division club St. Johnstone on loan on 31 August 2006. He scored his first goal for St Johnstone in their 5-0 win over Queen of the South.
