Paul Harris (basketball)

Paul Harris is an American basketball player; 6’4” shooting guard for the Syracuse University Orange.

Harris began his high school basketball career at Niagara Falls High School, where defensive skill and aggressiveness made him a recruiting target by his sophomore year. After the summer following his junior year, he chose Syracuse University over the University of Pittsburgh. Following his commitment, he transferred to Notre Dame Prep school in Massachusetts.

Harris earned the name "Toaster" after an incident that he had while playing in Niagara Falls. His patented crossover move is often called "The Toaster Beat Down."

Harris was named the 2006-2007 Big East preseason Rookie of the Year, and made his Syracuse University debut in an exhibition victory against Bryant University on November 1st. In his first four games, he had two double-doubles, including 19 points against Northeastern. He is the sixth man and is seeing great playing time.

Paul is a fan favorite at Syracuse, and is considered one of the team leaders as a freshman. Paul also is known for wearing his hair in unique styles. Commonly known as P. Hair. What the P stands for is debated.
