Paul Gait

Paul Gait (b. April 5, 1967 in Victoria, British Columbia) is a former lacrosse player. Paul and his twin brother Gary have both played for the in the Western Lacrosse Association, the National Lacrosse League, and Major League Lacrosse. The twins were named Co-MVPs of the Mann Cup in 1999, when they played for the Victoria Shamrocks. They both attended Syracuse University and played on the varsity lacrosse team, setting many records during their time there. After college, the brothers started playing in the Major Indoor Lacrosse League and shared the Rookie of the Year Award.

In 1996, Paul and his brother went on to produce GBLax, their own line of lacrosse equipment, centered in Syracuse.

He and his brother are known as two of the greatest lacrosse players of all time. Paul retired after the 2002 NLL season. However, during the 2005 NLL season, Paul returned to the NLL to play for the Colorado Mammoth with his brother. He played four games totaling nine points. He retired for good with his brother Gary after the 2005 season.

Paul is fourth all time on the NLL points total list with 712 points in 13 seasons.

In 2005, both brothers were inducte into the United States Lacrosse National Hall of Fame. In 2006, both Paul and his brother were among the five charter members to be voted into the National Lacrosse League Hall of Fame.
