Paul G. Kirk, Jr.

Paul Kirk Jr. was chairman of the Democratic National Committee from 1985 to 1989. Under his chairmanship the Democrats regained control of the Senate in the 1986 mid-term elections, which had been under a Republican majority since the 1980 elections. He was also chairman during the 1988 Presidential Election.
