Paul Finch

Paul Finch, more commonly referred to as Finch, is a fictional character depicted in the three films comprising the American Pie series. He is the youngest of the American Pie teens, being the sophisticated loner of the group.

Finch's family is neither depicted nor mentioned in the series.
His only friends seem to be the other American Pie teens - Jim, Oz and Kevin - no others are mentioned...however, he does not seem to be quite as low on the 'nerd rating' as 'The Shermanator', either.
While the audience is told that he is a virgin, unlike the other characters, we know of no other previous sexual encounters that Finch (aka Paul Finch) has or has not had. He is likely to have never made it to third base, however.

Finch went to East Great Falls High. He is the last of the four to be introduced in the opening sequence of American Pie, drinking moccachino and being asked about Latin homework, to which he responds with a Latin joke, indicating his gift for languages (and perhaps studies in general). He has a long-standing disdain for Stifler, who calls him 'Shitbrick' on the basis of Finch's habit of going home to defecate.

After a pact is made with the four that they would have sex before they graduate (with prom being the target date), Finch pays Jessica $200 to spread rumours of his sexual prowess which, together with the pact-buddies agreeing to verify all rumours, succeeded in making him one of the most wanted guys in school. This is destroyed when Stifler, after his date dumps him for Finch, puts potent laxatives into Finch's moccachino and leads him into the girls bathroom, after which a large group of teenagers were waiting to mock him outside the bathroom.

Finch, on account of the "bathroom incident", went to Prom stag, not expecting to be able to complete his end of the pact. At Stifler's post-prom party, Finch explored the house and went through a door that said "Keep Out", finding Stifler's Mom on the other side. After a sophisticated conversation, they have sex on the pool table. In the morning, after the party had ended, Stifler walked into the room and, obviously seeing that they had had sex, fainted.
Later, Finch would brag about his success in completing his end of the pact.

- Finch has a large penis.
- However, this was never proven nor disproved.
- Finch has a tattoo.
- It was never shown on-screen, however this rumour is believed to be false due to Finch's general wimpishness and nerdiness.
- Finch slept with Stifler's mom.
- He did after the rumor at Stifler's post-prom party on a pool table.
- Finch fought Stifler and beat him up.
- They did fight but he did not beat him up and this was after high school.

Finch and Stifler did have a fight (because of the tension between them from Finch having sex with Stifler's mom), ending with Finch having a black eye and Stifler having six stitches from Finch's bite.

Finch attended New York University, majoring in Latin, before meeting a Japanese girl abroad and changing majors. He also claimed to have had sex in several museums, the most notable of which is the Guggenheim, as well as in a Baskin & Robbins with a professor of his.

[edit] Summer Vacation
At Stifler's party following exams, Finch wanders into Stifler's mom's room, still being infatuated with her and holding their last encounter as one of his most cherished memories. After discovering her book on Tantra, Stifler barges in and chases Finch out. During their stay at the lake, Finch and Stifler's hatred for each other grows, while at the same time Finch perfects Tantra in hoping to utilize his studies to seduce Jeannine once more. As Finch and the others prepare to return home, Stifler's Mom arrives at the cabin and Finch admits that he now knows that he must move on with his life. The final scene of the movie shows Finch and Stifler's Mom having sex in her car.

Completes his NYU diploma, which he states he will frame. He now plans to write his memoirs. It is also suggested that his sex life is now comparable to Stifler's, although his tactics are completely different.

After learning that Jim is having trouble figuring out what Michelle wants for the wedding, Finch decides to provide recon and provides a lot of useful and essential information for Jim.

While escorting Michelle to the airport, he meets and becomes infatuated with Michelle's sister Cadence. While in the bathroom, he overhears that her ex-boyfriend was too nice and refused to have sex with her, so they broke up and now thinks that "nice might not be so nice." Later, Stifler sees Cadence in her underwear, overhearing that she's a virgin and doesn't want to attract attention from sleazy guys while wearing he bridesmaid outfit. Michelle consoles her by saying that she will meet a lot of nice guys at the wedding. Determined to "have his special virgin pussy," Stifler decides to act as a super-nice version of Finch. Realizing his plan, Finch tries to catch Cadence's affection by using a mock persona of Stifler. Eventually, regardless of discovering Stifler's true personality, Cadence still choses Stifler over Finch, who admits that they were better off with each other. Noticing the friendship developing between them, Finch resparks the hatred by admitting that he had sex with Stifler's mom on a second occasion.

Finch serves as one of Jim's best men. He later meets Stifler's Mom again and has sex with her a third time, in a bath tub.
