Paul Aranas

Paul Aranas (born 19 December 1979) is an American Green politician. In the 2006 election, he ran for representative of Oregon's 5th congressional district, but was defeated by incumbent Democrat Darlene Hooley. His campaign objectives included the withdrawal of U.S. troops from Iraq, universal health care, increased funding for education, ratification of the Kyoto Protocol, and the repeal of NAFTA.

Aranas is employed as a lecturer, and is currently a PhD Candidate in international relations at the Centre for Diplomatic and Strategic Studies in Paris.
