Welcome!

Hello, Patrickmc82, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers:

It is good to see your interest in Scouting pages. Are you a Rover? I was a Rover leader in the UK many many years ago. It would be good to have a page called Rover Scouts (Australia). The only section page we have is Venturer Scouts (Australia). Would you like to write the Rover page? It should expand what is on Scouts Australia while leaving that content, or perhaps slightly reducing it. It should of course be about Rovers around Australia, not just one State. Your addition of a VicRovers link on Scouts Australia would probably be better on Scouting in Victoria. You might also think of joining Wikipedia:WikiProject Scouting. [edit] Rovers (Australia)

Good work on this article. I have moved some material from the main Rover Scouts article as I think it is more appropriate in the Australia article. I have also added the logo and the portal link. --Bduke 06:02, 14 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Scouting article work

If you are getting this, it is because you do or did work on Scouting articles (see Wikipedia:WikiProject_Scouting#Participants_and_primary_areas_of_interest).

As the Scouting WikiProject has been formed since early January 2006, we've had many great improvements made in this area of Wiki and I want to personally thank everyone for their help. We don't always agree on things, but we keep moving forward. YIS, Rlevse 22:09, 25 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Reply to your comment on my talk page

Hi Patrick, I normally reply on my talk page, but I am not sure that you are watching my talk page and thus see my reply. Yes, I live in Melbourne just over the West Gate Bridge. I have not joined a Fellowship Group. I seem to belong to too many groups as it is. I see you are a student at Monash. I have a Honorary position at Monash but at the Parkville campus. I go there about once a week. I see you have had fun with Scout templates. I am afraid you can not use the Scouts Australia logo in a userbox. It is "Fair use" on an article but not in a user box. I made the same mistake yesterday doing a Queen's Scout userbox and putting it on Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Scouting for discussion. --Bduke 03:52, 29 April 2006 (UTC)
