In the "Character" section, we currently say
- These are also the reason that he has been risen from rifleman to sergeant and then sergeant-major.
Um, what does "these" refer to?
Also, the wording seems wrong. Should we use "has been raised" instead of "has been risen"?
- These are also the reason that he had been raised from rifleman to sergeant and then sergeant-major.
Similarily, in a preceding sentence, we should probably have "gave" instead of "had given":
- ... seven-barrelled Nock gun that Sharpe gave him as a present
